I simply can not get enough of the Davenports; this book and the 1st one called, "Caught on Camera" are simply amazing.

This book is mostly about Cat (Catherine Davenport) and her lost teenage love, Brody but the character whose true self becomes crystal clear is that of Emma Davenport (Cat's mother).

Mama Davenport, as I like to think of her is the epitome of evil, she will do anything to get what she wants and everything to protect the Davenport name no matter who she hurts including her own family.

We learn many shocking secrets about Emma Davenport in book one but there seems to be no end to the viciousness of this woman.

JP and Vega are just cameos in this book and I hope they appear more in the upcoming book, "Caught off Guard" which will be the 3rd book in the Davenport series which is supposed to be out in 2016.

I can hardly wait because these books have been the most enjoyable ones that I have ever read on my Kindle and I have read many books in the last few years.

But as much as I liked this book for the family dynamic and all the secrets, lies and scandals; the first book, "Caught on Camera" is still my favorite. I love it so much that I am reading it again. JP aka Jackson P. Davenport and Vega are just such magical characters and their whirlwind romance was very exciting and hot.

Kim Law is now my new favorite writer and I will devour everything she writes.

Just finished re-reading "The Davenports" series. Do you have plans to tell Bennett's story? "Caught in the Act" had been so intense, and I'm so ready to learn more about JP and Cat's older brother. Since those two books were released almost three years apart, is it possible there is a third book on the back burner to be released in 2018? I loved Brody/Cat and JP/Vega's stories, and think the tall, mysterious Bennett would knock it out of the ballpark.
My, oh my, what a book! I have never read a book that had so many jaw dropping, gotcha scenes in my life! I no sooner would get past one stunner than another came along. This fast paced page turner kept my attention from start to finish. A story with substance, this book had me feeling quite happy and satisfied by its end. Everything was perfect, fabulous and right about this book! I absolutely loved it and I highly recommend you read this book and every other book Kim Law has written. You will not be disappointed!
Caught on Camera was my introduction to Kim Law and I've been anxiously awaiting for Cat's story ever since. As a result, I probably had higher expectations then most, and Kim didn't disappoint! This is the story of two adults who fell for each other as kids and found each other again as adults. As Brody said "Damn, Cat...I've missed you and I didn't even know it."

Cat is all wrapped up in doing what is right for her family - in keeping the public persona going and the dirty laundry hidden to protect them - and Brody knows it and is willing to challenge it. To quote him "You do that, Miss Davenport. Put your public face back on. Wouldn't want to be caught living your own life, would you?" But he isn't perfect either. At times I wanted to go through the page and smack him upside the head, and just ask "What's wrong with you? Why are you being such a jerk? She was 16!" Yes, I know its a fictional story, but Kim made the characters that real!

Told with humor and spark, this was more than just a story of two people finding each other. It was the story of a family and how the dynamics of a family impact relationships both inside the family and outside of it. Caught on Camera was JP's story, this was Cat's. I can't wait for Bennet's!
Loved this book--especially because a 30 something widow with young kids was unapologetic about wanting to have a fling--with plenty of sex--on her first real break from her kids in years. Cat comes from a wealthy family mired in political intrigue and rivalry, and even ongoing questions about the paternity within two powerful families. Brody, the first boy she loved, wants to stay from all the gossip and demands that make Cat's type of family so complicated. After Brody and Cat meet after so many years, they try to fool themselves into thinking a two-week fling is possible. Too bad for them...they've always loved each other and they can't deny it. There are all sorts of secrets and developments, blame and conflicts, but I won't say what they are and spoil the twists and turns. This is a delightfully sexy book and the chemistry is as good as it gets. It takes place on the Maine coast, which is romantic in itself, and the book also has so much heart--real dilemmas and emotional pain. I genuinely liked this couple, who are brainy as well as sexy, and rooted for them all the way through. I hadn't read the first book of the series, but I will now.

Friendship, betrayal, love and family all rolled into this wonderful fun and sexy book. I laughed, cried and even got really angry. In my opinion this was a great book about re-owning your life. Politics and scandal go hand in hand as these two come to terms with their past and look at the future.
