This was a quick and enjoyable series. I enjoyed the world created by the author. It was an interesting plot that keeps the reader engaged. There aren't many fight scenes and most of the books are about discovering this new world and adjusting in it. While the story line only follows Stella, she is surrounded by friends and teachers that are also well developed and have stories of their own taking place. There were several laugh out loud moments and good interaction between the characters.I am the type of person who enjoys stories, and on that level, I liked there series. However, I did see some inconsistencies that I don't feel are fully explained or are just simple mistakes that a good editing of the story would help fix. For example, there are quite a few typos and grammatical problems. (admittedly, I suck at my own proof reading, so no judgement there). Secondly, there seems to be more British than Southern slang used in the story about a girl from the American South. Also, the maturity levels were bit less than one might expect for the ages given. Sometimes, in other books/series, the characters start to become annoying due to lack of maturity, that is not the case here. If you are able to overlook it, and see them as kids just starting college, it in no way contracts from the story, just like the British sayings and European awareness doesn't really contract from the story, even though Stella is supposed to be from small town South and not ever traveled.

Rare Form Descended of Dragons Book 1 eBook Jen Crane Reviews
A fantastic storyline and loved this book and looking forward to reading more. I loved the dynamics between the characters and the development of the the villains. Highly recommend this book to fantasy readers and think you will love it as much as I did
The story was good enough to give to my daughter to read except all the innuendo about sex that went beyond what I want her to read. They were a little to graphic for my taste . Also if itso going to show same sex love (how ever sublet) I rather i know before I buy the book in order to choose if wanted for my still impressive daughter or not. I don't hate I just want to be able to choose what I show my kids.
I really enjoyed this. It's incredibly rare to find a book about dragons that isn't corny, and Rare Form was one of those books. As an added bonus, the main character was snarky and relatable, and had an amusing voice. I'd definitely recommend this book to any paranormal fans, especially those who also love new adult novels.
I enjoyed this book. Stella is checking off life's little boxes. You know, the ones your family expects you to do, but you're really unsure if that's what you want. Yeah, she's graduating college but has no clue what her next step will/should be. Action wham! It begins in the first few pages and has you questioning who this chick really is. Stella Stonewall and friends quickly became characters I wanted to root for. She's a fiery redhead with no filter and I loved her wit and inner dialogue. After slowly reading through the first few chapters, you get hit with the intense desire to know more. Read more. I highly recommend the series.
Great protagonist. Now it's really hard to find a female character with confidence in herself. If you're looking for a protagonist that cries for three chapters over a heartache, or a story that's centered around a teenage like love triangle, this not the book for you. Here the protagonist is an adult, and she knows it. Maybe there should be a notice about the strong language, or the sexual scenes, but at least I didn't mind them. The sexuality is despicted very straight forward, no princess shyness nor akwardness. In my opinion, just as it should be. I found the language very refreshing. As for the story... I'd call it "ok", or actually, for the indi price, I'd call it pretty good (I'm not expecting the next Tolkien for $1), and as I said, the protagonist dit it for me. If this book were PG I would definetly recommend it to young girls so they could learn from Stella.
Loved this dragon book. Was hooked from the start. Haven't read another dragon book other then Talon by Julie Kagawa.
Rare Form was very well written, awesome imagination into a different dimension...
Only thing i don't like is the ending cliffhanger!!! but of course that makes me want to read Book 2 even more <3 hehe.
Thank you for writing.
If you liked Harry Potter or Twilight or Forever Evermore or House of Night (if you've missed any of those, buy them now), you will LOVE this series, too. The premise is simple. It's a "fish out of magical water" story of a young girl finding a place to fit in. The author does an outstanding job of building an interesting, compelling universe with complex characters. She keeps you engaged by giving the reader important tidbits of information throughout the book. Side note these characters are NOT children. Don't expect it to be innocent or kid-friendly.
